Generous donation to local communities of Eger from the TESCO

More than 500 books were donated to local communities, community centers and nonprofit organizations by the TESCO during autumn 2017.

As its local partner, the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary provided assistance to the TESCO in the redistribution of the books, and mainly organizations serving disadvantaged children and families, vulnerable persons were supported before Santa Claus and Christmas.

The Pediatric Department of the Ferenc Markhot County Hospital, the community centers in Felnémet, the Youth Centre of Eger, the Katica Dobó Retired Club, the Support the Poor Foundation, the Eger Friends Association, the Autism Foundation, and the Forrás Foundation for Youngsters with disabilities were granted by the books. The value of the donation was about 800.000 HUF.

Zoltán Szilágyi, director of the TESCO Eger told, that they are very glad that instead of nullifying the books, they got to children and communities in need who happily use them. 

Boglárka Bata, director of the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary  added, the Foundation is open for any kind of collaboration with donors, individuals if there is a donation (either goods, or money) and help to get donations to those who are the most in need. In addition, tax deduction can be claimed as well as the Foundation has a public benefit status.
