"Preparing for the autumn-winter period in North-Eastern Hungary" project was implemented with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation Decathlon Solidarity Fund at the end of 2022. Our professional partner was the Baby Bear Public Benefit Association. In the project, complex professional assistance and social assistance were provided to people fleeing from Ukraine to Hungary in four locations in Heves County (two in Eger, one in Gyöngyös and in Szihalom-Füzesabony). The partner organisation's "medimentors" and social assistants helped the refugee families and persons living in the area with administrative tasks, and organised a number of creative and recreational programmes for them. Hungarian language teaching was also provided to refugees to make their stay more bearable and to help them integrate into society.
The project was implemented with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation Decathlon Solidarity Fund between 10th October 2022, and 1st January, 2023.
