The WHO Foundation was created to complement and strengthen WHO’s efforts to address global health issues. Launched in May 2020 as an independent grant-making foundation, it works to create new opportunities for major donors, corporate partners and members of the general public to engage with WHO.
“Give Differently”
This year we would like to contribute to the conscious holiday preparations of our supporters, partners and donors through our “Give Differently” campaign instead of raising funds, or organizing a Christmas party.
The main aim of our “Give Differently” campaign is to raise awareness to the sustainable, smart, and socially useful money spending that concerns and validates community aspects, and to the various forms of giving and philanthropic activities.
Within the framework of a training course held on October 10, 2019, in Eger, we and the representatives from the participant CSOs learn about methods and tools that can attract supporters more effectively and widely, communicating their issues to their target audience.
In 2018, the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary launched its ‘Building Capacities for Effective Early Childhood Development of Marginalized Roma in Hungary’ program. On May 10, 2019, the Foundation's Board of Directors within the framework of a program running for two years now, approved a grant of cca.
The Carpathian Foundation-Hungary cordially invites all interested parties to its international conference organized in Eger, 13-14 June, 2019 in the frame of the Carpathian Civil Society Platform project.
A two day long training was organized by the Foundation on 26-27 March 2019, Noszvaj for the representatives of grantees of our program "Building Capacities for Effective Early Childhood Development of Marginalized Roma in Hungary". The training was led by Eva Szomor, ECD expert, and the main topics were how to organize programs for the smallest ones (0-3 years old children), how to cooperate with parents and how to develop parental cognitions and competencies effectively in marginalized Roma communities.

The Carpathian Foundation supports capacity building of civil society organizations with small grants. The aim of the grant scheme is to enhance visibility and more effective communication of nonprofit, civil society organizations operating in the Northeast part of Hungary.
Only those organizations could file their application, who participated at the communication training organized by the Foundation on 23rd February 2019 in Eger. From the 10 applications submitted for financial support, the Foundation awarded the following 8 organizations.
