CH-HU trains representatives of organizations and local governments in obtaining and effectively using resources available from the European Union. Training has been given in areas such as:
- Organizational development
- Project Cycle Management
- Network Building
- Cross-border cooperation
The goal of CF-HU is to aid organizations establish networks that can assist each other in solving common problems. For example, from 2006 until the present, training was organized for Roma and cross border civil organizations.
Future plans call for the CF-HU to become more involved with civil organizations and to develop training to help these local groups become more effective. Programs to help civil organizations will be established for Heves County as the initial step in this process.
Our successfully organized trainings:
Complex organizational development for NGOs from the Sub Carpathian region, supported by National Civic Fund
The main goal of this project was to prepare the participating Ukrainian NGO’s absorption capability for the European Union Funds. The Carpathian Foundation – Hungary implemented this project in partnership with the Ukrainian-Hungarian Regional Development Office (Ukrán-Magyar Területfejlesztési iroda (UMTI) between September, 2008 and April, 2009.
The trainings were organized also in Eger and in Beregovo in order to prepare the organizations for elaborating, implementing and fulfilling the obligations in the cross-border cooperation projects. All the participated NGOs were operating for civil society development, equal opportunities and they also have ideas for projects to be implemented, but the allocated funds and the project management exceeds their resources.
The other goal of the project is to get acquainted the participants with:
- Project implementation: project preparation, quality assurance, administration, management and monitoring (a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge, relevant examples)
- European Union's regional policy, the institutional system of Granting; description and presentation of the Structural and Cohesion Funds and other Funds;
- Project Cycle Management - project planning process (theoretical part I-II), Project Cycle Management - project planning process.
PCM training for NGOs from Transylvania supported by National Civic Fund
The main goal of this project was to prepare the participating Romanian NGO’s absorption capability for the European Union Funds as Romania is joining the EU from 2007. The trainings were organized in order to prepare the organizations for elaborating, implementing and fulfilling the obligations in the EU projects project.
This training was implemented successfully; all the planned goals and achievements were fulfilled completely. As a result of the project the participated organizations got acquainted with project generating, proposal writing, so their skills could improve. There became a network where the participated NGOs can inform each other about current call for proposals and can build partnerships so the project strengthened the Transylvanian NGOs in Romania.
PCM training in Királyhelmec supported by National Civic Fund
On the 30-31 of May, 2008 in cooperation with Carpathian Foundation-Slovakia and Bodrogtour Association the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary organized a project assistant training for Slovakian NGOs.
The training was organized for NGOs who are operating in the development of the Hungarian minority’s civil society in Slovakia, willing to solve the problems caused by equal opportunities and also have projects ideas to be implemented but the allocated funds and the project management exceeds their resources.
The main aim of the project was to foster the efficiency of the implementation of the cross-border cooperation and also making their missions more effective.
The training was very successful, 20 participants got acquainted with the European Union's regional policy, the institutional system of Granting and Project Cycle Management accepted in the EU. The project planning process was highlighted in order to use the acquainted knowledge in practice all the participants used their own projects ideas to prepare the final exercise (project preparation).
