Call for bid - External financial manager

The Carpathian Foundation is pleased to announce a call for bid opening for the position of External Financial Manager within the Central Mountains (CE0100083) project, a part of the Interreg Central Europe program.

Project period: 01/04/2023-31/03/2026 (36 months)

The purpose of the project: Strengthening and improving governance models in the Alpine-Carpathian mountain areas of Central Europe, with particular emphasis on cross-border and transnational cooperation structures for solving common challenges for the sustainable development of mountain regions. As a result, cross-border areas and communities in the Alps and Carpathians will benefit from strengthened structures for long-term cooperation using a modern approach (participatory - involving young people, multi-level, multi-sector).

Tasks to fulfil: overall financial management of the project including:
• budgeting, following the cash flow and flow of funds, to oversee that the costs of the professional implementation of the regular use of the budget and compliance with financial reporting obligations,
• financial reporting to donors in line with their rules and regulations and disbursement, management in line with the national, EU and project requirements,
• to prepare necessary financial document and periodic financial reports for the project activities of Carpathian Foundation undertaken as defined in the Program Manual, Monitoring plan and according to the EU and national regulation,
• bookkeeping of project expenses,
• assisting the auditing process of the project by donors and external audit companies assigned,
• taking part in meetings, regular consultations with project staff and experts, partners.

Requirements:
• Fluency in English (project execution and reporting is done in English in written and meetings are performed in English as well),
• proven experience in financial management of EU funded projects,
• Strong technical competence and skills for timely implementation, and execution of activities,
• Ability to work in international team.
