Thanks to Frederick C. Robey 's generous support and the tax 1% offers, the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary provides scholarships to disadvantaged students in the 2017/2018 academic year as well.
In the framework of the Scholarship Program we would like to support 1-3 disadvantaged young students who live in the Hungarian territory of the Carpathian region (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megyék), and who are enrolled in the 2017/2018 academic year in any higher educational institutions of the region.
We expect candidates who are committed to solve the problems of the region and ensuring its long-term sustainable development, and in addition and after completing their studies wish to pursue their profession in the region.
The scholars' obligations are:
- voluntary service 10 hours a week at our Foundation or at a partner organization;
- Participation in the Foundation's programs;
- To mentor the volunteers in the next year
What we offer:
- Professional experience in the civil, nonprofit sphere;
- Monthly stipend;
- Flexible schedule;
