The workshops organized by the Carpathian Foundation-Ukraine in Uzhhorod as part of the Central Mountains project aimed to strengthen civil society and social service organizations that are working under particular pressure in the war situation. The first workshop focused on the principles of mediation, effective communication techniques, and conflict management methods as applied to family, workplace, and community situations. The second workshop provided an overview of the social services system in Ukraine, how to access services, the necessary documents, and the functioning of community services. Special emphasis was placed on planning individual client pathways. The workshops were held both online and in person, with participants joining from several counties. A total of 12 different civil society organizations were represented. Interactive, practice-oriented methods were used, and participants highly valued the practical experience of the speakers. The programs were particularly important for civil society organizations, which are struggling with funding difficulties, burnout, increased client demands, and limited resources due to the war. The workshops helped them become more effective, learn new tools, and strengthen their collaborations.
The Hungarian partner's participation in the project is financed by the Hungarian State.
