Transnational Giving Europe (TGE www.transnationalgiving.eu) is a partnership of leading European foundations and associations that facilitates tax-efficient cross-border giving within Europe. The TGE network enables donors, both corporations and individuals, resident in one of the participating countries, to financially support non-profit organizations in other member countries, while benefiting directly from the tax advantages provided for in the legislation of their country of residence.

’The role of civil society…’ titled, international conference was organized by the Carpathian Foundation

Our Foundation started its activity - as a member of the Carpathian Foundation Network - in the Carpathian Euroregion 20 years ago. On this occasion we organized an international conference entitled ’The role of civil society…’. The past, present and future of the Carpathian Euroregion and the Carpathian Foundation were discussed in various panels; country directors of the Carpathian Foundations, representatives of donor organizations, development and grassroots organizations expressed their opinion regarding the main challenges of the Central and Eastern European civil society over the past 20 years.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Carpathian Foundation discussions about the past, current and future challenges of the Central and Eastern European (CEE) civil society will be generated with the participation of our main stakeholders (key players in cross-border-cooperation, donor/(re-)granting organizations, development organizations from the countryside and grassroots) from Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia in order to change their ideas and share their experiences.

Scholars of the Carpathian Equal Opportunities Scholarship Program in the academic year of 2015/2016

The Announcement of the Carpathian Equal Opportunities Scholarship Program in the academic year of 2015/16 was announced twice this year. There were personal interviews after the formal assessment of the applications. Based on the applications and the interviews the Committee adjudged two applicants to participate in the Scholarship Program – both of them have started their voluntary work at the beginning of October.
