In the frame of our Civil Map programme, four local initiatives were awarded grants by our Foundation's Board of Trustees. The applications address local public issues and problems, and aim to encourage local people to become more active, to be more successful in advocating their interests and to create constructive dialogue and cooperation at local level.

Evaluation of the Emergency Response Fund for Ukrainians Program

The mission of the Carpathian Foundation is to improve the quality of life of people living in the Carpathian region, to preserve the social, ethnic, cultural and environmental values of the region and to promote its sustainable development. Since the first day of the war in Ukraine, the Eger-based foundation has been committed to helping those who have suffered from the aggression of war.

The Carpathian Civil Society Platform

The Carpathian Civil Society Platform – Inter-regional Conference was held in Eger, Hungary, from 29 February to 1 March 2024, organised by the Carpathian Foundation-Hungary. The event brought together leading NGOs from the region, as well as representatives of national and international organisations. Its aim is to strengthen the platform for civil society cooperation across five countries (Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine).

Hopeful Horizons

In our project „Hopeful Horizons: A Year-long Journey of Support and Solidarity for Refugees in Hungary”, we provide complex support to individuals and families in North-East Hungary in 2024 fled from the war in Ukraine thanks to the financial support of the UNHCR. Our team is working in Heves, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Hajdú-Bihar counties. In the last two counties the social inclusion of refugees are supported by our professional partners.
