Our “Early Years Matter” publication has been published in Hungarian
In February 2018, we launched our small grant program „Building Capacities for Effective Early Childhood Development of Marginalized Roma in Hungary", which was renamed Early Years Matter in 2021. Carpathian Foundation awarded grants (nearly HUF 3-4 million per project annually) to registered CSOs supporting and developing marginalized Roma communities in the regions of Northern Hungary and Northern Great Plain through a call for proposals.
In the third season, 2021/2022, 10 organizations implemented projects in 11 locations.
The Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Association won another grant
The Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Association of Debrecen has been awarded a grant of 472,000 HUF by the Carpathian Emergency Response Fund for Ukrainians. The association, founded in 1991, has a long history of providing shelter for refugee families in its Community House in the village of Mogyoróska, using the grant to provide meals and organise their travel from Barabás and Lónya to Mogyoróska. Recreation programmes are organised in the form of walking tours to the castles of Regéc and Boldogkő.
Congratulations to the supported organisation!
