RomaNet Cooperation Network - Best Practice visit in Sirok

Carpathian Foundation – Hungary organized a Best Practice visit to Sirok on the 10th of September, 2010 in the frame of the RomaNet Cooperation Network project.

Mrs Andrea Csiki the director of SIROMA Association presented to the Slovakian and Hungarian participants the abolition of gypsy colonies in Sirok.

Carpathian House Project

The Carpathian House program is coordinated by the Carpathian Foundation-Poland with the support of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, 400.000 EUR for 4 years. The aim of the program, launched in 2006, is to establish new forms of co-operation between the communities of the Carpathian region through the newly formed relations between the NGOs, the enterprises and the local governments, by means of different programs, forums, exhibitions and publications.

Carpathian Foundation implemented a project called „On this side of the Border and beyond the Borders - integration and migration in the Carpathian Basin” between 1st September 2008 and 30th April 2009, in co-operation with the Europe Direct Information Point of the Local Government of Heves County and the Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency, supported by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affaires in the amount of 5 million HUF total grant.
